Entrecard

Since Entrecard I am finding out how obsessive I can be, I sit here at my puter surfing and reading, all the while thinking that I have to remove myself and go and get some jewelry production done. But at the end of the day I am still parked in my comfy old chair reading all of the fantastic posts by a lot of very talented people. I have been using Entrecard for a week now and I am hooked! With Entrecard you can drop cards on as many as 300 blogs per day. There is such a variety of different subjects, something for everyones reading tastes.

Entrecard has brought in some new features one being that you are able to link more then one blog into the same account, there is a contest running for this right now if you click to go to their blog you can get the scoops in detail.

ENTRECARD OFFICIAL EBOOK

To learn the ins and outs of using Entrecard there is a new EBOOK for download.

Remember when dropping your cards on sites to help your fellow bloggers out and click into another link on the site to prevent a high bounce rate on the site. Google for one does not like a high bounce rate. This is especially important for people trying to earn money on their blog sites, it only takes a second to click into an internal link before clicking out.

Change..change..changes!

I have decided to play around with my template, I have been feeling crowded and stifled by my old template. I am finding that with blogspot I don't have a lot of choices in design or color but I will try this one and see how it works for me. I like the full page format it doesn't seem so squishy! I joined Entrecard 2 days ago and in that short time of surfing blog pages I recognize quite a few by names but maybe more by the looks of their templates, so I hope that these changes are a positive move! What do you think?

In the midst of unproductiveness

I really do like to make earrings! But with the coming of spring, I have been feeling rather uninspired as far as jewelry making goes, or for that matter far as anything else goes! I wouldn't mind if I were at least getting out in my yard and garden, but its not happening. I did however manage to get a few pair of earrings finished and I am show casing a few of them here. I will be adding more at a later date.

Pretty In Pink

This pair is made using 14k goldfilled wire for the earwires as well as the earring drop. I used twisted 21 gauge square goldfilled wire to make the square shape on the earring. The two pink freshwater pearls are attached with 21 gauge half round goldfilled wire at both the top and the bottom of the square earring frame. The earring dangle is hung onto the earwire with a closed s hook made out of twisted goldfilled wire. The frame measures about 1/2 inch square and the length from the earwire to the bottom is 1 1/4 inches.

Pisces

This pair of very beautiful earrings is made with 14k twisted goldfilled wire for all of the components with the exception of the earwires they are not twisted wire. The crystals are 2 mm and 4 mm Swarovski aqua crystals with a freshwater pearl. The beads dangle from a goldfilled 21 gauge wire wrapped around the bottom of the pearl and hung onto the top of the square frame. The bead drops are not fastened to the bottom of the earring frame. These earring drops are attached to the earwire with a twisted goldfilled wire closed s hook. The frame measures approximately 3/4 inch square and is 1 1/2 inches long measuring from the bottom of the earwire.

These two pair of earrings are now available at our estore click Here

Slabbed and Polished Free Forms .. Petrified Wood From Souris Manitoba

This is a piece of the petrified wood that we picked in Souris Manitoba. This piece has been cut on our slab saw and put in the rock tumbler to polish. When I am feeling more confident with wire wrapping I will wrap it into a pendant. I do like the freeform rocks when they are wire wrapped you truly have a one of a kind piece of jewelry.
Here is another piece of petrified wood from Souris Manitoba. This one was slabbed and then cabbed into a tear drop shape. This is my first wire wrapping attempt. My center is a bit off, but overall I am pretty happy with it. It is so satisfing to pick the rock out in a rock pile, to slab it and to cab it and then to wire wrap it into a beautiful piece of jewelry. The wire I used is a 21 gauge, 14k gold filled square wire.

This is another piece of petrified wood from Souris MB that was polished in the rock tumbler. We use a Ultra Vibe 10 Industrial10 lb Capacity Vibrating Rock Tumbler

See you next time: Until then Rock On!
