A Rainy Day Post

It's raining today so thought I would write about what I have been up to recently, as I have been very quiet on blogger in the last weeks. Since joining Entrecard I had spent so many hours at my computer visiting blogs that a lot of stuff around home had been put off. Well as we all know this is fine for awhile but then things start to pile up, fall behind and look and feel really untidy, especially in the summer time with the yard work! So this is what I have been up to, catching up! As well as yard work I have been doing some painting on my garage. Now I am getting ready to put in some landscape timber boarders between my grass and gravel in the driveway and in between the grass and the garden. While doing all of this I am getting a lot of exercise and fresh air, which had been terribly lacking in my life. I am still reading blogs and dropping cards but not as regularly as I had been...BUT I will be back when I am able to, hopefully I will be posting more regular as well. I hope everyone is having a great summer.

Here are a few finished pieces that I had been working on.

Until next time

An Award and A Tag

Once again I am proud to be presented with an award. Kim from "Lifes Like That" has presented me with this award. I read Kims blogs, "yes blogs" most days, and I am getting to know a little about this amazing woman. She is a busy mom, crafter and jewelry artist. I am so pleased that she enjoys my blog enough to pass this award on to me, thank you so much Kim.
Shinade
has also honored me with this award. Thank you, I hope your life settles down and gets back to normal soon.

According to the custom the award may be passed on to up to seven blogs. The rules for the Brillante Weblog Award are as follows:

l. The award may be displayed on a winner’s blog.
2. Add a link to the person who you received the award from.
3. Nominate up to seven other blogs.
4. Then add their links to your blog.
5. Add a message to each person that you have passed the award on to in the comments section of their blog.

But I am doing it "my way"
I would like to present this award to each and every blog that I visit because I realize the commitment that blogging takes and I respect each one for their message or point of view that they bring to the blogosphere. I can't physically award it to every blog, but if you are reading this consider yourself awarded. You may take it and post it on your site and pass it on.

I have also been tagged by Craft Junkie from one of my blogger buds site "Craft Therapy". Craft Junkie does amazing crafts and jewelry. Pay her a visit to see what she has been up to and treat yourself to some of her eye candy. Thank you so much for tagging me Barb, but since I have already done this meme I am passing it up. Here is the link to my answers for this meme.

Top Droppers Award

Top Dropper Award

I was thrilled when Kim from "Life With Kim" presented me with this Top Dropper Award, and I couldn't wait to get back home to display it, and to get back into my Entrecard dropping and blog reading routine. I did miss keeping up with all of my favorite blogs and blogging buds. I appreciate everyone who has dropped onto my blog, whether you are stopping awhile to say hello or passing through to drop a card, a big thank you to you all! I am passing this award with thanks onto my two top droppers.

Peridot Birthstone For August

This is a picture of Perdiot in the rough, for more information on it visit Wikipedia

Peridot is a green gemstone that is as popular for jewelry today as it was in the past. It has been found in ruins of ancient Egypt and Greece and was often called the evening emerald by ancient Romans, who noticed that its green color shone even more vividly in lamplight, making it resemble deep green emeralds. Most ancient peridot probably came from the Red Sea island of St. Johns, which produced highly prized dark-green peridot.
