Bracelets

I am slugging away lately and not getting a whole lot done but here are 2 bracelets added to my collection this week.

Both of these bracelets were made using 19 gauge 1/8" rings which I purchased at The Ring Lord . The coral color beads are 8mm. The focal beads on the black bracelet are antiqued metal.

Some Of My Latest Chainmaille

Silvered Shimmers
This bracelet and earrings are made using enameled copper rings purchased from The Ring Lord, the silver rings are 19 gauge 5/32" and the tangerine are 20 gauge 1/8". I used a magnetic clasp for the bracelet it measures 7.25". It took about 330 rings. The earring drop measures 1.75". I used sterling silver earwires to finish, they took approx. 200 rings. I tumbled both of these pieces in a tumbler using stainless steel shot with some water and dove bar soap that I shredded, I tumbled them for 2 hours. I am hearing people having concerns about tumbling enameled copper with steel shot, but I have not had any bad experiences with it so far.

August Angels

For this necklace and bracelet I used bright aluminum purchased from The Ring Lord and silvered enameled copper also from TRL. The aluminum rings are 9/64" and 11/64" the connector rings are 19 gauge 1/8 silvered enameled copper. The clasp on the necklace is an 8mm sterling silver spring clasp. There are approx. 420 rings in the necklace and about 300 in the bracelet. I used the magnetic clasp on this bracelet as well. Personally I really like the magnetic clasp, at times I find it difficult to fasten a small bracelet clasp with one hand.

Dewdrops

This necklace is put together with aluminum and silvered enameled copper rings as well.

I have tumbled all of the above pieces in water with shredded bar dove and stainless steel shot for 2 hours.

Until Next Time
